‘Far From Portland’ – live performance by Lau from SAY Award featured album “Race The Loser”

“Race the Loser” from the  modern folk trio, Lau, is being featured as the Scottish Album of the Year shortlist album of the day on the The SAY Award site, which means it is available to be streamed in full all day long.  The album is deservedly on the list with 9 other excellent releases that demonstrate the diversity & creativity of the current Scottish music scene.  An award the group has already collected is BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Best Band of 2013, and featured here is a fantastic one take performance of ‘Far From Portland’ that really showcases their innovative & dynamic take on modern folk.  Also note that guitarist Kris Drever has a new release out this year with Eamonn Coyne called “Story Map” and fiddle player Aidan O’Rourke has a new solo record called “Hotline” very soon to be released.  All of this goodness can be found on the Reveal Records label (links directly below).
