North Atlantic Drift: A trilogy of beautiful soundscapes

In 2011 Brad Deschamps & Mike Abercrombie formed a musical partnership in Toronto, Canada they called North Atlantic Drift. Since then they have created a growing body of work centered around atmospheric and hauntingly beautiful soundscapes that are rich in nuance and which should appeal equally to fans of ambient and post rock music. The first LP, “Canvas”, was released in March of 2012 and was followed a year later by “Monuments”. The intent was to complete a trilogy of albums that would flow together and the third installment to be released next month is called “Resolven” and will be mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri.

Featured here are selections from “Canvas” and “Monuments” followed by the just released single from the new album. And if you don’t own any of these, they are on offer on their Bandcamp site for at very modest prices that would be well worth every penny.
