STREAMING PREMIERE: Iris Arco by Tristan Eckerson

Cincinnati-based pianist & composer Tristan Eckerson is a true DIY artist who handles all aspects of the production of his music independently from recording, mixing, and mastering to artwork and cover art design. Well traveled both musically and geographically, he keeps himself busy with a steady creative output both under his own name and with a recently launched ambient project under the alias of Purple Decades. With several new singles already out this year, Eckerson will be offering up a new EP this month which sees him focused on creating a warmer and more multilayered sound to accompany his piano compositions through the addition of bass, synth arrangements, and foley. Well timed for pensive autumn listening Iris Arco features four welcoming piano sketches that are cozy and elegant as you please.

Stationary Travels is pleased to offer an early preview of the full EP in this streaming premiere. Pour a warm beverage, make yourself comfortable and enjoy…

‘arco iris’ is the Spanish word for rainbow, but the two words have been switched here, partly for aesthetic reasons, but also in an attempt to express the topsi-turviness of the past few years, and how these strange times have opened up new doors of creativity…

Iris Arco will be available as a digital release beginning October 22, 2021. As noted above, Eckerson handled all aspects of production including the cover art.
